Chile is located along the western coast of the southern cone of South America, between the highest segment of the Andes Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean. Its shape is unique: it is one of the longest countries in the world, with 4,300 km in length, but simultaneously one of the narrowest, with an average width of only 180 km. It has all the kind of climates existing on the planet, except only the tropical climate.
Despite its narrow strip of land, Chile is an exceptional tourist destination. The capital, Santiago, appears framed under the beauty of the snowy peaks of the Andes. In the Pacific Coast we find two very tourist cities: Viña del Mar, a place to spend the summer and Valparaiso with its beautiful pastel houses form a unique attraction located in its hills from where you have a spectacular view of the sea.
San Pedro de Atacama, with the world's driest desert in its singular nature. At the other extreme, in South Patagonia, the impressive Paine massif and the endless steppes of Tierra del Fuego.
